We would like to inform you that your hosting account's Login Pasword has been set to "Force Password Change" which means that the user will be prompted to change his or her password whenever he or she attempts to log into cPanel. The user will be unable to access a full-featured cPanel interface until he or she changes the password. On receiving this mail, kindly access your cPanel and use password generator to generate a new password with strength more than 75. Kindly note that you still need to use old password to access cPanel (before changing password) and at the time of reset of new password. After resetting password, please use new password only. (Video Tutorial : http://hostsupport.co.in/tutorials-cpanelx3-6-VO.html)

We are implementing this change to adhere to best security practice standards in the industry and would like to inform you that from now on, you will need to change and use a new password every three months to log in to your hosting account. It is important to note that you cannot repeat the last password.

*** Protect your password: ***
* Memorize your password, do not write it down
* Do not share your password. Create a new account instead
* Avoid using one password for all your logins
* Don't provide your password to someone for assistance unless you verify:
o They need the password
o They are who they say they are
* Avoid logging in from public computers
* Change your password frequently

*** Tips for choosing a password: ***
* Avoid dictionary words
* Avoid familiar items (names, phone numbers, etc.)
* Use a combination of letters, numbers, and special characters
* Use more characters (7+)

Apart from that, please do update your scripts with latest bug and security fixes and use secure directory permissions. Please do not use 777 directory permission on directories unless otherwise, it is very much required. You can always move such directories to home directory's root (../public_html) or Password Protect them (Video Tutorial : http://hostsupport.co.in/tutorials-cpanelx3-25-VO.html). Please do upgrade your Open Source scripts such as Joomla, osCommerce, PHPbb, WordPress etc with latest and recent bug fixes. If you have used Fantastico to setup such scripts, you can use it for upgrade. However, it is highly recommended that you do that as soon as script's developers releases new version with important fix.

Please do not install any script on your hosting account which you are not going to use or do not have time to monitor or upgrade.

We seek your co-operation in helping us keep your data secure and we do appreciate your understanding.

If you need any assistance or guidance with password reset, script upgrade or directory permission set, please feel free to contact us.

Thank you,

Dinsol Support Team
