Outlook Express Error Code : 0x800CCC0E While Sending Email


While sending email message outlook express shows error message like:

The connection to the server has failed. Account: 'mail.domainname.com', Server: 'mail.domainname.com', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10061, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E


First make sure that you have configured outlook express as mentioned in our tutorial.

Second, what you can do is try changing the SMTP port 25 to SMTP port 26. This usually resolves 90% of the error 0x800CCC0E received from Outlook Express. If this still does not work, please contact support team with your email account username and password so we can troubleshoot this further.
